Academic Standards
Family Christian Academy endeavors to maintain a rigorous and challenging academic curriculum that focuses on the development of a Biblical worldview. Our curriculum, while academically rigorous, is also founded on Biblical principles. This prepares our students to become spiritually discerning young adults who can apply God’s truth throughout their lives.
Biblical Integration
Family Christian Academy integrates a Biblical worldview into all aspects of our institution. Therefore, our teachers and staff strive to integrate Biblical principles into their coursework daily and treat students as image bearers in our daily interactions. We expect anyone involved in any extracurricular activity to reflect a Christian lifestyle and Biblical worldview. All employees and volunteers must remain vigilant in protecting Family Christian Academy's integrity, philosophy, mission, and purpose.
LOWER SCHOOL
PK-3 - 5th Grade
At Family Christian Academy, we provide a curriculum that is both academically challenging and firmly rooted in God’s Word. In our Lower School, students build a strong foundation in core academic subjects while growing in faith, character, and a love of learning.
Along with Bible, mathematics, language arts, science, and social studies, students participate in enriching classes in STEAM, music, physical education, and technology. STEAM integrates science, technology, engineering, the arts, and mathematics through hands-on learning experiences that encourage critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving.
Through our technology program, students also begin developing digital literacy, creativity, problem-solving abilities, and responsible technology skills, preparing them to navigate an ever-changing world with wisdom and integrity, all within a safe, caring, Christ-centered environment.

UPPER SCHOOL
6th - 12th Grade
HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS
Students complete a comprehensive college-preparatory curriculum that includes:

Foreign Language – 2 credits

Health/Physical Education – 1 credit

Fine Arts – 1 credit

A minimum of two additional elective credits
A total of 28 credits is required for graduation. FCA students meet or exceed the graduation requirements established by the State of Florida, with one year of Bible required for each year a student is enrolled at FCA during high school.
In addition, FCA high school students are required to complete a minimum of 25 community service hours per year, with a total of 100 community service hours required for graduation.

Preparing Students for an AI-Driven World
Technology continues to transform the way we learn, communicate, work, and serve others. At Family Christian Academy, we believe students should graduate not only with a strong academic foundation and Christ-centered character, but also with the knowledge, skills, and discernment to thrive in an increasingly digital world.
To support this vision, FCA has partnered with BeyondK12, an innovative leader in K–12 technology education. Through this partnership, students participate in engaging, project-based learning experiences that build digital literacy, coding, artificial intelligence awareness, digital citizenship, financial literacy, communication, creativity, and critical thinking.
Beginning in kindergarten and continuing through eighth grade, students develop foundational technology skills while learning to use digital tools responsibly and ethically. In high school, students expand those skills through entrepreneurship, leadership, and real-world business experiences that prepare them for college, careers, and lifelong learning.
Every lesson is taught within the framework of a biblical worldview, encouraging students to use technology with wisdom, integrity, and discernment while honoring Christ in all they do.
