Welcome to Family Christian Academy

Choosing a school for your child is an important decision, and we are grateful for the opportunity to introduce you to Family Christian Academy. At FCA, we believe education is about more than academic achievement. As a discipleship ministry of Family Church PC, we partner with Christian families to nurture students academically, spiritually, socially, and personally while helping them develop a Biblical worldview.​

This mission is more than a statement. It guides how we teach, lead, serve, and build relationships with our students and families. Our desire is that each student is known, encouraged, and challenged to grow while receiving an education firmly grounded in Biblical truth.

At FCA, you will see this mission lived out through dedicated teachers, meaningful relationships, a commitment to academic excellence, and a Christ-centered community. FCA is more than a school; it is a place where lessons are learned, friendships are formed, faith is strengthened, and students are equipped for what God has called them to do.

Since FCA was established in 1983 by the First Baptist Church (now Family Church) of Port Charlotte, Florida. The church’s vision was to provide a Biblically integrated academic school for the children of Christian families in the area. Originally named First Baptist Community Christian School, it was Charlotte County’s first Christian school.

Today, FCA’s students and parents benefit from the vision, faith and experience that comes from educating our community’s young people for nearly four decades.
